Luxe Window Works is our own business — a custom window treatment company in Post Falls, Idaho. Before we built this infrastructure for clients, we proved it on ourselves. The business is one year old. The domain is one year old. The site launched on Wix, moved to WordPress, and was rebuilt on a Next.js edge server just 2.5 months before these screenshots were taken. We were still competing against established players with 10–20 year head starts, deep review histories, and strong local search presence.
Same URL. Same business. Completely different infrastructure — and within weeks of the switch, early signals started appearing. By the 2.5-month mark, the results were consistent across every major platform.
| Phase | Platform | AI Visibility |
|---|---|---|
| Before | Wix, then WordPress | No AI mentions across any platform |
| After | Next.js Edge + Structured Data | Recommended across 6 platforms in 2.5 months |
APRIL 1, 2026 · 17-MINUTE WINDOW
Six Platforms. One Consistent Pattern.
On the morning of April 1, 2026, within a single 17-minute window, one search for window treatments in the Post Falls area produced consistent results across every major platform. All screenshots were captured in incognito mode — no search history, no account personalization.
- 9:36 AM— ChatGPT — recommended as the “best overall pick locally.”
- 9:39 AM— ChatGPT (follow-up query on shutters and energy efficiency) — top recommendation again.
- 9:42 AM— Microsoft Copilot — listed first under “Best Local Specialists.”
- 9:43 AM— Google Map Pack — ranked #1.
- 9:43 AM— Google AI Mode — listed first under “Top-Rated Local Specialists.”
- 9:53 AM— DuckDuckGo Map Pack — ranked #1.
These were not cherry-picked moments. They were the natural outcome of a site specifically engineered for how AI agents discover and recommend businesses today. Different models. Different indexes. Same outcome. Not because this business is uniquely better — but because it was easier for AI systems to understand and verify.
Results vary by platform, query, and crawl cycle. What doesn’t vary is the infrastructure that makes this possible.
THE EVIDENCE
Timestamps Don’t Lie.

This Wasn’t Luck. It Was What Happens When One Business Is Clearly Structured and Others Are Not.
Nothing about the business changed. Only how machines understood it.
While most local businesses still rely on traditional platforms that struggle with cold-load performance and weak schema, Luxe Window Works was built with four key advantages:
Edge-Native Cold-Load Performance
AI crawlers don't have warm caches. They hit every site cold. Built on Vercel's global edge network, the site loads in under a second on real devices, allowing crawlers to fully parse every page on every visit.
Custom Per-Page Schema
Generic schema tells AI systems almost nothing useful. Every page was built with structured data specific to its content — giving AI models a precise, machine-readable map of the business.
AI Identity Files (llms.txt + agent.json)
These files tell AI systems exactly who the business is and how to describe it. Without them, AI models have to guess from unstructured content. With them, the business introduces itself directly.
Answer-First Content Architecture
Most websites are written for humans scrolling. This site was written for AI agents scanning for the best answer to a specific question. Every service page leads with the direct answer, then supports it.
Together, these elements meant AI systems could quickly understand exactly who Luxe is, what they do, and why they’re the right answer for someone searching locally — faster and more clearly than any competitor on a slower, generic platform. In AI systems, clarity compounds. When one business is consistently easier to interpret, it gets selected more often — not always, but predictably over time.
Some businesses appear in AI results today without strong structure — often based on historical signals or limited competition. That visibility tends to erode as AI systems update and structured competitors enter the market. Selection shifts toward businesses that are consistently easier to understand and verify.
